Publishing books is hard and selling books is even harder.
It wasn’t that long ago when my friend and colleague Steve of AuthorBytes.com, asked me to help a couple of his clients take control of their publishing and book promotion. He saw what I did with my own books and thought I had something unique to share.
Now my “accidental business” has become a full-fledged team of 14 professionals: From editors, designers, marketers, brilliant project managers and more, I’m having so much fun meeting the most interesting authors and publishing great books. All I have to say is “un-retirement” is pretty great.
Whether you're already on the journey of bringing your stories to life with us or aspire to do so, our newsletter is your insider guide to the exciting world of publishing and book selling.
Our work with authors begins with publication, but it doesn't end there. We're here to support you every step of the way, from refining your craft to navigating marketing and publishing trends and we aim to make it easy for you to keep sharing what you know.
Here's what you can expect in each issue:

Can AI bring your book’s characters to life?
What if you could create human-like, knowledgeable, and engaging versions of the main characters in your novels or nonfiction books? Your characters could be heroes, villains, or you!
Then engage your readers by inviting them to interact….
I recently discovered the AI website character.ai. It’s an intriguing place where you can have a virtual conversation with William Shakespeare, Napoleon Bonaparte, or even a psychologist.
So I wondered: what if I could create and train a virtual, human-like Sam Sunborn, the protagonist in my NOT SO DEAD thriller series? Guess what— I did it and readers of my NOT SO DEAD are invited to speak with him, ask him questions, and converse on any subject. He’s quite intelligent and engaging (good looking too!) and amazingly true to character.
To read a sample interaction with Sam, click here. If you would like to create your own AI protagonist, contact us and let us know.
